Toshinari Seki takes goofing off to new heights. Every day, on or around his school desk, he masterfully creates his own little worlds of wonder, often hidden to most of his classmates. 最後列の窓際に座っているクラスメイトの関くんは、教師から見えにくい位置であるのをいいことに、授業中に一人遊びに興じている。しかも関くんの遊びは、なぜか絶対に先生にバレることが無いのだ。 クラス内郵便や、机の穴ゴルフといった誰しも遊んだことがある遊びから、将棋や囲碁、チェス、ドミノ倒し、棒倒しなど授業中の一人遊びを超越した行為、さらには机の研磨や砂金採りといった遊びとは呼べないようなことまで、コソコソと行っている。 その隣に座っている主人公の女子生徒 横井さんは、真面目に授業に取り組もうとするものの、毎回関くんの奇怪な遊びが気になって授業に集中できず、ついつい見入ってしまったり、時には関くんの妨害をしたりした結果、先生に自分だけが怒られてしまう。 関くんの前の座席には、野球部のピッチャーの前田くんが座っており、大柄な彼に隠れるかたちで関くんは遊びに興じているのだ。さらに、美術室などで後ろに座っている後藤さんは、関くんと横井さんが付き合っていて、授業中にイチャイチャしていると誤解していた。 この作品は、授業中に小さな机の上で繰り広げられる「無限の可能性」を追求したドラマである。
