Deep down inside, high school student Shun Takahata craves for some excitement in his boring life…but his teacher’s head randomly exploding isn’t exactly what he had in mind. 高畑瞬がこの世に生を授かって16年。ごく普通のありふれた高校生として粛々と、つつがなく平穏な日常を生き続けてきた。今日もいつもと同じような時間を過ごし、いつもと同じような退屈に気を倦ませていた。 そんなある日、瞬たちの教室に教師の頭部から一体の「だるま」が出現。かみまろによる「試練」に参加させられる。 青山仙一と明石靖人はかつてサッカー部に所属していた小学校以来の親友同士。大学進学を控えた冬のある朝、2人は部を続けるか否かで大喧嘩してしまい、明石は授業を受けず帰宅する。 青山は教室に閉じ込められ、クラスメイトと共に「だるま」の試練に挑む。 一方、学校を欠席した明石の前には「二宮金次郎尊徳」の像が現れ謎の少年セイン・カミが取り仕切るオーディションに挑むことになる。
