Overview

経常利益が国内第3位という日本でも有数の銀行・カラス銀行。その中央支店で窓口業務を務める入行2年目の青年行員・御手洗暉（みたらい あきら）は、経理ミスを一瞬で見抜くほどの類まれな計算能力を持つが、それが生かされることはなく日々の生活に退屈していた。そんなある日、御手洗は突然、特別業務部審査課、通称「特四（トクヨン）」への異動を命じられる。銀行の重要部門である審査課への異動に訝しがる御手洗は、新たな上司・宇佐美から、実は大金管理のプロフェッショナルである銀行が巨大な賭場を運営していること、かつ、特四とは、そのギャンブルと、それに参加するギャンブラーを管理する特別な部署であることを説明される。ギャンブラーは自前の資金以外にも、特別融資として自身の基本的人権を担保に銀行から大金を借り入れることができ、その際の融資審査を行うのも、御手洗の新しい職務であった。 賭場の異様な状態に気圧され、戸惑う中、御手洗は謎の天才ギャンブラーの青年・真経津晨（まふつ しん）と出会う。相手のイカサマを見抜き、勝利を収める真経津に魅了された御手洗は、彼の担当行員として時に命すら賭ける異常な銀行賭博に関わっていく。
