劇情簡介日本語

1420年、フス戦争が勃発した翌年のボヘミア王国（現在のチェコ共和国）。カトリック派聖ヨハネ騎士団のフス派狩りによって家族を虐殺され、自らも陵辱された12歳の少女シャールカは、通りすがりのフス派の英雄ヤン・ジシュカに倒れていたところを拾われる。ジシュカに誘われて彼の傭兵隊に加わったシャールカは、ターボルと名付けられたフス派が集う拠点の山で出会った2人の少女ガブリエラとターニャとともに、新兵器「笛（ピーシュチャラ）」を扱う「天使隊」の一員となる。彼女らを含めて農民兵を主体とする2千人のターボル軍を結成したジシュカは、総勢10万におよぶカトリック派十字軍に包囲されたプラハへ進軍し、敵将の神聖ローマ皇帝ジギスムントに宣戦布告する。プラハ近郊で始まったヴィトコフ丘の戦いにて、突撃してくる敵の騎兵に対し、ターボル軍は荷車と笛を組み合わせた「ワゴンブルク戦術」を用いて少数ながらも圧倒し、見事に十字軍を撤退に追い込み勝利する。こうして、シャールカは勢い付いたフス派の仲間たちと共に、反カトリックの戦いに身を投じ成長していく。
