劇情簡介日本語

1878年（明治11年）。明治維新以降、日本国内は士族反乱などで多くの犯罪者を抱えるようになり、彼らの多くが送り込まれた監獄からの脱獄も後を絶たなかった。そこで政府は滋賀県の琵琶湖に浮かぶ巨木の中に絶対脱獄不可能な監獄「獄門処」を作り、重罪者を容赦なく送り込んだ。護送の最終段階となる「橋渡し」を担当するのは湖畔の大津（滋賀郡大津、現・大津市役所周辺）にある「曇神社」の曇三兄弟だった。おりしもこの時、大津の空は300年に一度という長期の曇天が続いていた。この時現れ、人々に災いをもたらすという「大蛇（オロチ）の器」を求めて、長男・天火がかつて所属していた右大臣直属部隊「犲（やまいぬ）」が動き始めた。
