The stage is post-revolutionary Paris, where the turmoil has yet to settle. In the city's outskirts, there is a cafe-patisserie called "Avenir," filled with unique personalities. In particular, Lucas, the younger brother of the shop manager Georges, is full of energy and a true lover of sweets. Utilizing his physical strength, he works as a delivery person, weaving through the streets of Paris every day. Meeting all sorts of people along the way, he occasionally gets into trouble.
