モデルの弥木圭は、5歳の時に初めて林の中で死体を発見したのを皮切りに、幾度となく様々な死体の第一発見者となる不思議な体質になってしまった。死体を発見するだけならまだしも、慣れから生じた落ち着きぶりと仕事優先の逃避の行動ゆえに、しばしば重要参考人として疑いをかけられてしまう。事件発生時、周囲の人間は全員が圭を犯人だと信じて疑わず、キレやすい性格が仇となって容疑者にされ手錠をかけられるのは珍しくない。無実を知るモデル仲間の、推理オタクの周防斎とナンパ好きのシモン藤馬と共に、自分にかけられた容疑を晴らすため事件に立ち向かう。しかし事件に遭遇する中で、圭自身も知らない謎が浮かび上がる。
