After his wife's death, Saburo began to spend all his time playing bicycle races and mahjong, and living a life of drinking. One day, he is introduced to "Inemuri Sensei'' by an acquaintance of his. "Inemuri Sensei", who is known as a writer and the god of gambling. A new day brought about by the encounter between men. The autobiographical novel by Shizuka Ijuin has been turned into a manga by soulful artist Junichi Noujou. Volume 1 contains a written essay at the end of the book by Shizuka Ijuuin.
