Overview

After moving into the quiet town of Hinamizawa, Maebara Keiichi spends his days blissfully in school often playing games with his local friends. However, appearances can be deceiving. One fateful day, Keiichi stumbles upon news of a murder that had occurred in Hinamizawa. From this point on, horrific events unfold in front of Keiichi, as he soon learns his close friends may not be all that they seem. Based on the amateur mystery game by 7th Expansion, the story is told in a series of different scenarios. Utsutsukowashi is a manga-only scenario featuring mostly different characters from those in the scenarios from the games with a few exceptions. It focuses on Kousaka Mizuho, Sonozaki Shion and the murders happening at their school. Note: Includes 2 extra chapters that both include characters from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Onisarashi-hen, in particular the second one is an epilogue for Onisarashi-hen, dissimilar to the epilogue present in that entry.

園崎本家の決定により、全寮制一貫教育の女子校・聖ルチーア学園に「幽閉」されていた園崎詩音。ある日、校内のプールで男性教師の変死体が発見され、第一発見者である詩音の同級生・香坂瑞穂が理事長室に呼び出されるが、瑞穂は事の詳細を語ろうとはしなかった。瑞穂が実の祖母に命を狙われ、難を逃れるために学園へ入学したという噂を聞いた詩音は、「フランス語の宿題」を口実に、誰に対しても心を開こうとしない瑞穂と接触を試みる。
