内気でオタクな中学2年生の春野かすみは、クラスメイトの女子たちから軽いイジメを受けていたが、密かに憧れている男子生徒 勇気に片思いしていた。 そんなある日、海外で行方不明になったという父親から、指輪と鏡が送られてくる。かすみが指輪と鏡を身に着けたことで、もう一人の自分でもある好戦的な魔法少女「くすみ」が覚醒し、クラスメイトの女子に反撃したばかりか、片思いしている勇気に告白してキスまでしてしまう。 かすみが手にした指輪と鏡は「女王の遺品」と呼ばれる代物であり、回収をもくろむ異国の組織と「女王の遺品」を身につけ魔法を操る聖女子（バージィナ）が、かすみを付け狙う。異国の組織シャンデリアからの襲撃に、かすみはくすみと入れ替わりながら、その魔力で対抗することになる。
