Overview
Shota Kamine is a boy who could "see? other people's hearts. With this power, he tries to use it for the good of people, but nothing ever goes right. Not being able to sought out the meaning behind the power of his eyes, he becomes discouraged and loses all hope. While then, on the school rooftop he meets a boy, Hibiki Tokisaka, and gets his own heart grasped by the sound of his saxophone!! Kamine who became interested with Hibiki, goes and visits the brass band's concert. There, Kamine witnesses Hibiki's performance shaking up and gripping the people's hearts. Hibiki, who had overcome what Kamine thought could never happen and not possible for him to even do, Kamine approaches him to talk about it, but to find out Hibiki too carry a dark past he cannot tell others. 群馬県立鳴苑高等学校に通う神峰翔太は、人の心が「見える」能力を持っていた。自らの能力を厭い他人との接触を拒んできた神峰は、吹奏楽部の公演がきっかけとなり、音色で人の心を「掴む」サックス奏者・刻阪響と出会う。 「神峰の助言に従って演奏することで音楽を人の心に届けることができる」と気付いた刻阪は神峰を吹奏楽部に勧誘し、神峰は指揮者志望として入部を決意する。神峰は刻阪と共に、部内のさまざまな問題や他校のライバルたちと直面しながら、自身の能力と指揮によって鳴苑吹奏楽部の音を導いてゆく。
