小石川 光希は、ある日いきなり両親から「離婚する」ことを告げられる。ハワイ旅行で出会った松浦夫婦と気が合い、母親がその夫と、父親がその妻と恋に落ちたため、お互いパートナーを交換して再婚するのだと言う。しかも、松浦夫妻の息子の松浦 遊も含めて、みんなで一緒に暮らそうとまで言い出す始末。そんな非常識な生活の中、一緒に暮らす遊に惹かれ始めていく。 やがて二人は付き合うようになるが、遊は「自分の本当の父親」を探していた。そして両親たち4人がハワイ旅行で出会ったのではなく、学生時代からの友人であったことを知り、自分と光希が「血のつながった兄妹」である可能性を疑うようになる。遊は光希に別れを告げて、進学先を「京都工業大学」に決める。 大学に進学しても遊を忘れられない光希は遊に会うために京都に行くが、遊は「彼女がいる」と嘘をつく。しかし、夏季休みで帰省した際、気持ちを抑えきれなくなった遊は自分達が「兄妹」であることを光希に打ち明ける。最後の思い出として北九州への旅行をした二人は、たとえ禁断の関係であっても結婚することを誓い合う。 帰宅した二人は両親たちから「過去についての真実」を聞かされる。
