Overview

The first installment in a horror series that brings folk tales to life in the modern era! This is a reprint of the work originally serialized in six installments in 1963 in the rental manga short story magazine Niji as the first full-length series in the “Yamabiko Sisters” series. It is a folk-tale-style horror story centered on Satsuki and Kanna, two sisters living in a mountain village. The story follows Satsuki, the older sister, who is researching foxes and superstitions for her summer vacation project when she witnesses a classmate raised in Tokyo being possessed by a fox spirit—but the true nature of the spirit is… 　 Although the story was later redrawn to emphasize its horror elements and published in a magazine, this is the original version. It has been reprinted in a complete edition—including the color pages—for the first time.
