Overview

2020年新東帝都。 冴えない浪人生・佐橋皆人は2浪が決まった帰り道の途中、空から降ってきた不思議な少女・結と出会う。 空腹で倒れた結を自宅で介抱すると、結は突然皆人に惹かれキスを交わす。結の正体は「セキレイ」と呼ばれる異能の戦士であり、皆人はセキレイを羽化させる力を持つ「葦牙（あしかび）」と呼ばれる存在であった。 更には皆人の元に、帝都を支配する超巨大企業M・B・Iの社長・御中広人から直接電話が入り、108羽の「セキレイ」とその「葦牙」による生き残りを掛けた闘い「鶺鴒（せきれい）計画」の存在と、広人がそのゲームマスターである事を聞かされる。 はじめは戦いに巻き込まれ守って貰うばかりだった皆人だが、身体を張り、時には命を賭けて草野、松、月海、風花、焔といった他のセキレイ達とも絆を結び、彼女達を羽化させ家族同然の仲間となっていった。 多くのセキレイ・葦牙達との出会いや戦い、別れを経験し、皆人とセキレイ達は大きく成長していく。そして鶺鴒計画の進行と共に激化していく戦いの中で、セキレイ達の過去や秘密、その本当の正体が明かされていく。
