Overview
Chi is a mischievous newborn kitten who, while on a leisurely stroll with her family, finds herself lost. Separated from the warmth and protection of her mother, she feels distraught. Overcome with loneliness, she breaks into tears in a large urban park meadow, when she is suddenly rescued by a young boy named Yohei and his mother. 子猫のチーは、愛情深い母猫と2匹のきょうだいと共に、ある家の飼い猫として暮らしていた。しかし、好奇心の強いチーは散歩中によそ見をして、母猫たちとはぐれてしまう。山田家の長男で幼稚園児のヨウヘイは、公園で行き倒れていたチーを発見して自宅に連れ帰る。山田家とチーの微笑ましい日々が始まるが、ペット禁止のマンションに住む山田家はチーの存在を必死で隠していた。ある事件をきっかけにチーは遠方に引き取られることになるが、日頃は穏和なヨウヘイがこれに猛然と反対、チーを抱えて家を飛び出す。息子の説得を試みる両親はこの時、偶然にもペット可マンションの広告を見つけて転居を決意。チーのために選んだ新居で、家族の新しい生活が始まる。
