Kirinkan Graffiti

Overview

Tae Morikawa is the new caretaker of the boarding house "Kirinkan" after the death of her great-grandmother, the previous caretaker. On her way home in the middle of the night, she rescues a woman who is huddled in the middle of the road with a fever. The next morning, the woman turns out to be Kikuko, the wife of Usami Shuji, a senior colleague whom Tae had a crush on until three years ago. Kikuko says that she ran away from home after she and Shuji had a fight. Kikuko doesn't want to go home, but Tae goes to Shuji to ask him to pick her up. There Tae sees a despicable side of him she has never known before, and she tells Kikuko that she can stay at Kirinkan for as long as she needs.
