Overview
One summer, fifteen kids innocently wander into a nearby seaside cave. There they meet a strange man who invites them to play an exciting new video game. This game, he explains, pits a lone giant robot against a horde of alien invaders. To play the game all they have to do is sign a simple contract. 夏休みに自然学校に参加した少年少女15人は、海岸沿いの洞窟でココペリと名乗る謎の男に出会う。子供たちは「自分の作ったゲームをしないか」とココペリに誘われる。ゲームの内容は、「子供たちが無敵の巨大ロボットを操縦し、地球を襲う巨大な敵を倒して地球を守る」というもの。兄のウシロに止められたカナを除く14人は、ただのコンピュータゲームだと思い、ココペリと契約を結ぶ。その後、黒い巨大なロボットと敵が出現し、コエムシと名乗る口の悪いマスコットも現れる。ロボットの中のコックピットに転送された子供たち15人の前には、ココペリとコエムシが待っていた。これが黒いロボット・ジアースの最初の戦いであった。戦闘を重ねるにつれ、子供たちはゲームの真の意味を目の当たりにすることになる。
