Overview

This is a gem of a coming-of-age manga that depicts the setbacks, losses, and rebirth experienced over the course of ten years by a female substitute English teacher, who left her high school a decade ago following a certain incident, and the students who were in her classroom at the time. It’s a poignant story that also gives readers the courage to take that next step forward. Kirinji’s classic song “Aliens” provides the soundtrack as the characters strive toward their dreams, give up on them and fall into despair, and then begin new chapters in their lives. This work was originally written by author Moegara as the screenplay for the Hulu Original drama of the same name, created specifically for adaptation to the screen.
