High school student Sora Ueno lives in a small mountain town, but she has never truly felt comfortable there. The only person she could open her heart to was her childhood friend, Hinako. However, on the night of the Minazuki Festival in 1984, Hinako mysteriously disappeared. Everyone in the village claimed it was a “kamikakushi”—a divine abduction—and they made little effort to search for her.
