高校1年のある春の日、猫派であるが犬似の犬神八千代と、犬派であるが猫似の猫山鈴はある日運命的な出会いを果たす（デスティニる）。猫萌えと犬萌えの2人は即座に惹かれ合うも、積極的でやや本能的な犬神のアプローチに対し、うぶで恥ずかしがり屋な猫山は照れ隠しの引っかきで応戦する。また2人の共通の友人である柊木秋は、ある時は二人にツッコミを入れ、またある時は暴走しがちな犬神を制止する日々を送る。
